COLOUR
Clear dark cherry red of moderate intensity and cling.
NOSE
Clean semi pronounced aromas of warm bramble fruits and strawberry conserve with a sweet toasty nuttiness.
PALATE
Clean medium bodied flavours of spicy dark blackberries and a soft liquorice cocoa background. Softened brittle tannin structure finishes with a moderate cinnamon soft toast impression.
WINEMAKING
Fruit sourced from various estate and local Pyrenees Shiraz blocks. Traditional open vat vinification techniques applied with minimal intervention to preserve its regional identity.
FOOD PAIRING
Gourmet sausages, slow cooked brisket, grilled portobellos, creamy mushroom risotto.
VINTAGE
A typical La Niña vintage (meaning "the little girl" in Spanish) – cool and not as hot as an El Niño summer. Cool conditions in early spring led into a warm and dry period for flowering producing a balanced crop load across all varieties. A warm dry summer led to an extended cool autumn creating optimum ripening conditions for full flavour development prior to a slighter later harvest in March through to April.

Delivery & Shipping Details
Mount Avoca use both couriers and Australia Post to ensure a reliable and efficient delivery service. If you are not at home to accept your delivery, they will leave your wine in a safe place, though Aus Post may leave a card for collection from your nearest post office. Please specify as much detail as possible in the 'delivery instructions' area and we will do our best to ensure a seamless delivery.

We're delighted to announce that we now offer free freight in VIC, NSW, ACT, SA & QLD.
If you're based in WA, NT and TAS, we offer $10 flat rate on all shipping too
Delivery Times
Please allow 3–5 working days for delivery to capital cities and 1–2 weeks for regional areas and interstate, though we've noticed that delivery times have taken longer since Covid 19 came and went. Customer service is important to us; if we foresee a problem with your delivery we will contact you to discuss it. The above times are guidelines only and may be faster or slower depending on your location.

Requirements
- Please include clear delivery instructions and a telephone number on all orders.
- Wine damaged in transit will be returned to Mount Avoca and we will contact you to make alternative arrangements.
- Undeliverable wine will be returned to Mount Avoca and we will contact you to make alternative arrangements. Undeliverable wine will incur an administration fee of $30 for re-shipping.
- As we have no control over shipping Mount Avoca takes no responsibility for the delivery times or loss of orders.
