Eco-Luxe lodge 2 - The Sir John Barry

Instructions and information to help make your stay more enjoyable.

These are self-contained lodges, and we respect your privacy so will endeavour to minimise our interactions with you. However, if you have an urgent need or emergency please text or call David - 0437 259 828 who will endeavour to assist.

Remotes & Controls:
The remotes are located on the wall between the television and the window, there are televisions and Bluetooth sound-bars in both the living room and bedroom.

Bluetooth Instructions for Sound Bar:
Push the Bluetooth button "B" on the sound bar and find the Bluetooth setting on your device. It should connect without a password allowing for a wonderful sound experience. It is possible to connect both sound bars to give an immersive sound experience, or to have different music in each room.

Instructions for Aircon/Split System:
We will often activate this prior to your arrival to provide a heated or cooled environment on your arrival – feel free to adjust as you like.
Turning this off when you leave will please both our accountants and the environment.

WI-FI:
Each Lodge has it’s own individual unshared Skynet terminal.
Login is automatic with no password required.

Water:
The water throughout the lodge is light filtered rainwater with no added chemicals, light harmless brown/grey colouration may occur due to periodic contact with leaves on the roof.
Bottled water is supplied throughout your stay.

Hot Water System:
Hot water is instantaneous gas.As a safety feature of the (On-Demand) Water Heater, the unit may disable itself in response to periodic power outages, following a storm etc. If there isn hot water the unit can usually be reset by turning the power off for 30 seconds and then on again. The plug switch is situated by the side of the webber BBQ. The hot water needs a reasonable flow to activate, so run the water with a medium flow to activate the heating and wait 20 to 40 seconds.  It should now be working.  If not repeat the procedure, if that fails give us a call.

Check Out:
Reception/Cellar door is open from 11 to 4 every day, however we are very comfortable with you leaving the key on the dining table and just pulling the door behind you. Feel free to call past on your way out, although this is not a requirement.

Things to do

We invite you to try our Estate grown range of organic and vegan wines at the cellar door from 11am to 4pm every day.  As a lodge guest you qualify as a Silver or Gold member giving you a 20% or 25% discount off our wines.

If you have reserved mountain bikes, they are available for collection from the cellar door between 11 and 4pm. If you would like to use them but didn’t book them, please contact our staff and we will do our best to provide you with bikes.  This is a free service for our lodge guests, but some notice is required so we can pump up the tyres and get the bikes clean and ready.

We are still working on signage, arrows and improving the trails but it is still a great experience and safe. The conservation zone is a fenced rectangular block so it is impossible to get lost as long as you stay within the 100 acres.

The Region

The Pyrenees wine region is renowned amongst winemakers and trade as one one of Australia's top producer's of super premium high quality fruit. Less known by the public the wines are aromatic, intensely flavoured and carry the hallmarks of individuality and character.

The wineries are generally understated, small, humble and focused on farming and production rather than glitz and marketing, possibly a reason for the region flying under the radar for over 50 years.  One of Victoria's best kept secrets, the region's natural beauty is surpassed only by its incredible wines.

Our Cellar door is open 7 days a week, 11am to 4pm.
