Made specifically for a client of considerable means who had a change of fortune, we have been selling this big juicy Shiraz over the years to a small number of corporate clients. As it is under Procork - a special cork that reduces cork taint and improves aging, it is at its peak.

COLOUR: Inky dark red with ruby highlights.
NOSE: New leather and ground coffee underpin the ripe plum, dark fruit and sweet toasty black pepper aromas.
PALATE: Abundant ripe blueberry, plum and strawberries flavours with subtle vanilla bean and spicy oak lead to a full-flavoured palate supported by soft powdery tannins and a silky, smooth finish.
WINEMAKING: Sourced from 45-year-old vines grown organically on the central-eastern slopes of the estate. Small open ferments were hand plunged and wild yeasts were encouraged. Post-fermentation the wines were transferred to a selection of one and two-year-old French oak Hogsheads with a few from Hungarian barrels to add spice and nutmeg notes. After 18 months in oak, the wines were racked for fining and blending prior to bottling in November 2016. Under Procork

Mount Avoca use both couriers and Australia Post to ensure a reliable and efficient delivery service. If you are not at home to accept your delivery, they will leave your wine in a safe place, though Aus Post may leave a card for collection from your nearest post office. Please specify as much detail as possible in the 'delivery instructions' area and we will do our best to ensure a seamless delivery.

If you're based in WA, NT and TAS, we offer $10 flat rate on all shipping too
Delivery Times
Please allow 3–5 working days for delivery to capital cities and 1–2 weeks for regional areas and interstate, though we've noticed that delivery times have taken longer since Covid 19 came and went. Customer service is important to us; if we foresee a problem with your delivery we will contact you to discuss it. The above times are guidelines only and may be faster or slower depending on your location.

Requirements
- Please include clear delivery instructions and a telephone number on all orders.
- Wine damaged in transit will be returned to Mount Avoca and we will contact you to make alternative arrangements.
- Undeliverable wine will be returned to Mount Avoca and we will contact you to make alternative arrangements. Undeliverable wine will incur an administration fee of $30 for re-shipping.
- As we have no control over shipping Mount Avoca takes no responsibility for the delivery times or loss of orders.
