Headspace 2019 Pinot Noir

COLOUR

Cherry red colour, with a violet purple hue.

NOSE

Aromas of raspberry, mulberry, hints of liquorice and warm sweet herbaceous notes.

PALATE

Refined notes of warm cherry, blackberry, coffee bean and lilac interweave with well-balanced acidity and finishing with sweet bramble fruit and toasty oak.

WINEMAKING

Fermented in traditional small open top fermenters and hand plunged twice daily for to 10 days using a variety of yeasts. MLF was encouraged on skins and completed in tank prior to 9 months aging in old and new French hogsheads.

FOOD PAIRING

Roast Duck, pot roasted vegetable with Thyme.

VINTAGE NOTES

Cool conditions in early spring enabled a subsequent long growing season. A warm dry summer subsided into ideal cooler autumn conditions prior to harvest.
