COLOUR

Clear, bright, pale gold with a subtle shimmer.

NOSE

Clean, primary aromas of lemon zest, feshly cut grass and green apple.

PALATE

Just picked tropical fruit with hints of lime and lemongrass lead to a citrus and passionfruit laden palate with a delightfully crisp lingering finish.

WINEMAKING

The wine is an assembly of free run juice harvest of several Loire Valley clones. Fermentation is long and cool being generally three weeks between 10 - 12 degrees to retain sincere aromatic and flavour expression. Typical Pyrenees Sauvignon character exhibited with its long lingering flavour length affording it to be paired with more robust food faire than is the norm for this wine variety.

FOOD PAIRING

Pan fried scallops, tempura, oysters au naturel, lemon chicken with a rocket, nasturtium flower & sorrel salad.

VINTAGE NOTES
Consistent winter rains and a mild spring created a perfect growing season and optimal vine health, progressing to a cooler than normal growing season with well placed summer rains.

We're pleased to offer shipping Australia-wide.Delivery & Shipping Details

Mount Avoca use both couriers and Australia Post to ensure a reliable and efficient delivery service. If you are not at home to accept your delivery, they will leave your wine in a safe place, though Aus Post may leave a card for collection from your nearest post office. Please specify as much detail as possible in the 'delivery instructions' area and we will do our best to ensure a seamless delivery.

Please contact us if you have any delivery concerns, or if you need to make alternative arrangements.

Pricing & Delivery Costs

Note that freight costs have increased dramatically in the last three years as businesses struggle with chronic staff shortages, high fuel costs and significant wage increases.  While freight may look expensive we are still subsidizing the costs of admin, pick and pack, and then courier, freight and Ausist charges.

We recommend ordering your favourite bottles in groups of 6 or 12 to save on shipping costs. You can order your favourite wines by the bottle to create your own mixed 6-pack or dozen.
