Estate Range

Estate 2019 Old Vine Shiraz

COLOUR
Dense ruby red of full intensity. Dark cherry purple on the swirl with a defined amethyst purple rim.

NOSE
Clean pronounced aromas of intense dark cherry, Mocha and roasted hazelnut and pepper.

PALATE
A clean commanding structure with full-bodied flavours of warm ripe blueberry and peppery figs in a cloak of softly dancing brittle tannins across the palate. A satisfyingly long finish of toasty blackberry and soft black pepper.

WINEMAKING
The fruit was harvested from mature vines in selected sections of A & B on the estate vineyard. Open vat vinification techniques applied with minimal intervention preserve regional identity.

FOOD PAIRING
This is an ideal match with refined meat dishes such as roast lamb, Wagyu, terrines and stews.

VINTAGE NOTES
Cool conditions in early spring enabled a subsequent long growing season. A warm dry summer subsided into ideal cooler autumn conditions prior to harvest.
