Mount Avoca wine tasting event at Melbourne Recital Centre

At Mount Avoca, it gives us great pleasure to support the arts and music within our great city of Melbourne.

On Friday September 18, prior to the concert, Mount Avoca will be hosting an exclusive wine tasting event for MRC members. Guests will have the opportunity to sample a lovely selection of 10 premium wines and enjoy some cheese and antipasto in a private room within the concert hall.

We have a DOUBLE PASS to giveaway to the concert.

The winner + guest will also join the MRC members and mingle over some delicious wine and nibbles. At 7.30pm, head downstairs to be swept away with beautiful guitar arrangements by the Grigorvan Brothers.

About the concert:

In anticipation of their next recording, the Grigoryan Brothers perform brand new arrangements of songs by composers including Bach, Elgar, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Faure, de Falla and Debussy.

The Grigoryan Brothers’ passion for expanding the classical guitar repertoire and delving into genres outside the classical world is reflected in their six recordings to date. Their 2014 release This Time, included works written specifically for Slava and Leonard by friends from around the world.

Their next recording – to be released in 2017 – sees a return to classical repertoire of songs masterfully arranged for them by their father Edward. This familial collaboration is not new, with Grigoryan senior arranging the music of Tchaikovsky’s suite for piano ‘The Seasons’, for his sons’ critically acclaimed 2012 release.
